One of our suppliers always puts out a yearly request for pictures of our installs they can use in their brochures. This is one of my favorites pictures I grabbed and of course I had to play with it in Nik’s SilverEfex Pro. Unfortunately with the small images, you cannot see the lighted Christmas tree in this image. ENJOY

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009SilverEfex Pro Experiment
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Was looking thru some old pictures tonight and happened across some of my old lighthouse pictures. I had the thought of…..”I wonder what that would looking in Black and White?”. So off I went with several images into SilverEfex Pro 3.0. Of all the Nix Software applications this is one of my favorites. One of the built in presets is “Cyanotype”. Cyanotype was a popular process in the 20th century engineering world (Blueprints). Since this particular image was taken on a very cold February evening, I thought the blue cast gave the picture a cold feel. ENJOY!

Fall Color and Nik Software’s SilverEfex Pro
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009Really not a lot of work into this post processing wise. Nik Software’s SilverEfex Pro did most the work. After doing my initial Level and Curve adjustments in Photoshop, I also applied two unsharp masks of 150, 1.5, 3 and 20, 50, 0. I then ran the finished image thru SiverEfex Pro and applied the Sepia preset. I then took both the color version and the sepia version into Photoshop CS4 and blended the layers. Click on the image to see a larger version.
ENJOY!
