Since I was given the opportunity to do head shots for 2010′s Miss Allegan County I was asked to shoot the 2011 Miss Allegan County and Miss Allegan County Outstanding Teen Pagaent this past weekend. Fortunately I went to Friday’s rehearsal to scope out the venue some more cause on Friday they used the spot light for rehearsal and I was able to grab more pictures than at the actual pageant.. Unfortunately the lighting on stage was some of the worse lighting I’ve ever seen. Plus the decision was made to not use the spotlight for the actual pageant so my fighting chance at decent pictures without a flash were drastically reduced. Despite the lighting situation the show went off without any major hitches and two great young ladies were crowed Miss Allegan and Miss Allegan County Outstanding Teen for 2011.
Keisha Johnson was crowned Miss Allegan County 2011
Jessica Glessner was crowned Miss Allegan County Outstanding Teen 2011
Below are some of the other shots from the evening festivities.
Where was I at August 7th, 2010?….at the Red Barn Spectacular at the Gilmore Car Museum. Classic cars (and more recent as well) as far as the eye can see. Cars I’ve never even seen or heard of. Muscle cars that would make you teeth chatter. What is a guy with a camera to do? Shoot until you can’t move a muscle. A fellow car lover and photographer and I braved the masses at the 30th Annual Show. I don’t know the official count but the numbers on the entry forms posted in the cars were over 600 and that didn’t include the Judged cars. For 3 hours we walked amongst the magnificent steel beasts trying to find those details that make “THAT” car the car it is. From the tail lights of a 59 Caddy to the grill of a 1950′s GMC COE. Here are some of my favorites from this weekend. Hope you enjoy!

March 27th and 28th saw Patti Herm’s School of Dance participate in Cathy Roe’s Ultimate Dance Competition. This competition is one of the few that allow parents to take photographs. Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend.
