No, that’s Jupiter. It wasn’t until I was in looking at my photos on the screen that I realized there was a star up there too. So after some digging I found out it was Jupiter.

The thin crescent Moon is to the lower right of Jupiter. Look for the pair in the WSW at dusk. Jupiter is shining bright at -2nd magnitude. Neptune, at 8th magnitude, is to the lower left of the Moon, but requires a telescope to be seen.

Saw a similar shot on a photography forum and thought I’d give it a whirl. This first image wasn’t my original intention, but when I first set my camera up on the tripod everything was outta focus. I thought this might be interesting, so click!

Now for the in focus shot. ENJOY!

I took this photo back on October 20th of Vandercook Hall on Western Michigan University’s campus. The array of colors is just awesome as well is the architecture of the building. It looks even better in print.

So now every time I drive by Vandercook Hall, I look over to see what is currently going on there, image wise that is. This last time I noticed that they don’t shovel the sidewalks giving it that freshly fallen snow look. I thought with the hibernating vines and snow it would make a nice black and white photo and a contrast in seasons photo.

Here is a color version of the winter image. ENJOY!

One of our suppliers always puts out a yearly request for pictures of our installs they can use in their brochures. This is one of my favorites pictures I grabbed and of course I had to play with it in Nik’s SilverEfex Pro. Unfortunately with the small images, you cannot see the lighted Christmas tree in this image. ENJOY

I took this image while people were still on the pier. Don’t people understand we are trying to take pictures? Geesh! Some people I have shown this too liked the ghostly people on the pier. So I thought I’d run it through SilverEfex Pro as well. I think I prefer the colored version. ENJOY!
